[Duplicate] Are you about to receive $1,390? What you need to know about the viral stimulus check claims

The Economic Times

Circulating widely on social media and websites in recent weeks is a claim that the US federal government is preparing to send out a one‑time “stimulus check” of $1,390 to income taxpayers in late 2025.

Some versions of the story even reference amounts of $1,702 or $5,000, and purport to show deadlines, eligibility tables, and “official” forms.

But according to IRS public statements and multiple fact‑checks, the claim of a $1,390 payment is false.

According to the Furtbolete website, there is currently no law permitting the IRS to issue these payments on the specified date. Previous pandemic-related stimulus programs were implemented in earlier years, and their distributions have already been completed.
