ELLISVILLE, Miss. (WHLT) – Ellisville police are warning people to closely monitor their bank and credit card statements after a card skimmer was discovered at a local business.
The Ellisville Police Department was contacted by the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office on December 1, 2025, after the Mississippi Cyber Fraud Task Force and the U.S. Secret Service found evidence that led investigators to a card skimmer at a local business.
Investigators believe this is part of a months-long investigation involving skimmers being placed at multiple locations across the country. Criminals are using the skimmers to gather card and pine numbers.
