Didn't cash your Minnesota rebate check earlier this year? Keep an eye out for your mail as the state is about to reissue 150,000 of them.
On Wednesday, Senate Taxes Committee Chair Ann Rest (DFL-New Hope) announced that the Minnesota Department of Revenue will reissue the uncashed checks in two batches, with the first one going out this week. The second batch will go out in early December.
The state first sent out more than two million rebate checks beginning in August after it was passed earlier in the year by the DFL-led Legislature.
The checks range from $260 for individuals making less than $75,000 per year and $520 for couples making under $150,000, but the amount can rise to $1,300 based on the number of dependents in the household.
