A Mississippi man pleaded guilty today to conspiracy to commit bank fraud and aggravated identity theft.

According to court documents and statements made in court, Ronald Gardner, 51, and his co-conspirator, Anthony Craig Myrick, 45, both of Jackson, opened an account at BankPlus in another person’s name in September 2022. Gardner admitted to manufacturing the counterfeit Treasury checks and creating a false identification card using another person’s name and identity.
