A Fitchburg bank was robbed Wednesday morning, Fitchburg police reported. Shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to an alarm at Associated Bank, 3002 Fish Hatchery Road, Sgt. Dan Varriale said in a statement.

The robber entered the bank, demanded cash, and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, Varriale said.
Police ask that anyone with information on the incident contact them at 608-270-4300 or Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014 or P3Tips.com. Information can be shared anonymously. Tipsters who provide information that leads to an arrest also may qualify for a monetary reward.
