    Arrest made in connection with Friday afternoon Franklin bank robbery

    FRANKLIN, La. (KLFY) — One man is in custody and another at large after a bank robbery in Franklin on Friday afternoon, authorities said.

    Brennan Burney, 28, of Franklin, was arrested and charged with armed robbery, six counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, false imprisonment, possession of marijuana and bringing contraband into a penal institution.

    Franklin Police Department responded approximately 3:44 p.m. Friday to an armed robbery at a bank on Main Street, where two men entered the bank armed with handguns and demanded money from the employees.
