Wanted: Church paying the price after suspect allegedly cashes fraudulent checks

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 49-year-old Ebony Wilson, who is wanted on a warrant for one count of forgery.
The investigation began after a local Baptist church reported suspicious financial activities.
Detectives found that Wilson allegedly wrote and cashed three forged checks, costing the church thousands of dollars.
A local bank identified Wilson as the person who cashed the forged checks, prompting detectives to obtain a warrant for her arrest.
