Man arrested after bank robbery in Boyd County

BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) – A man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after an armed robbery at a bank along U.S. 60 in the Cannonsburg area, Boyd County Sheriff Jamie Reihs said.
The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. at First National Bank.
The sheriff said the man faces a first-degree robbery charge. He said the suspect gave a note to a teller that he had a gun, but a weapon was not actually located.
The man was arrested in an area not far from the bank, according to the sheriff.
