Grand Forks detective says if someone asks for bitcoin or gift cards, you're being scammed

Since 2022, Grand Forks residents have lost $466,803 to bitcoin cryptocurrency, according to GFPD Det. Todd Riedinger. The scams are difficult to trace and lost money usually can't be recovered.
