"There are People That Will Jump You For a Dollar": Man Stalks Bank Customers, Smashing Into Cars for Cash-Filled Bags
AOL
A man in Manteca, California, is facing multiple charges after he allegedly smashed into multiple cars and stole money outside banks. He is accused of stalking his victims and methodically choosing them for his thieving needs.
According to a press release issued by the Manteca Police Department, the first instances of this alleged serial thievery began back in April 2026. The police report an estimated $78,000 in stolen funds from 10 bank jugging cases.
The MPD explained that bank jugging, the strategy the Manteca suspect allegedly used, involves individuals surveilling banks in search of customers who withdraw funds. Once they see someone with a bank bag or an envelope in their hands, they acquire their target.
