Man Accused Of Fleeing Texarkana Bank On Bicycle After Robbery Demand

TCK Today

TEXARKANA, Texas — A man who allegedly fled a Texarkana bank on a bicycle Thursday after passing a teller a note demanding $10 and $20 bills is being held in the Bowie County jail with bail set at $250,000.

Dalton Dean Radke, 33, allegedly entered a Guaranty Bank branch at 5800 W. 7th Street in Texarkana, Texas, at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, according to a probable cause affidavit. When Radke approached the counter, he allegedly told a teller he was having a bad day before sliding a note to her.

The note allegedly said, “This is a robbery, don’t put any dye packs, all I want are the $20s and $10s. You scream or press any alarms it will be a bad deal.”

The teller reportedly explained that she did not keep cash in a drawer because the bank uses a system that automatically dispenses cash for tellers during transactions, the affidavit said. Radke allegedly told the teller she was “making too many clicks” on her computer, and she told him that was how she would get the machine to dispense money.
